18th SPACE Annual Conference and EURASHE-SEPHE Seminar
21-24 March 2007
Place: Cyprus College, Nicosia-Cultural Center
On 21-24 March 2007 SPACE (the European Network for Business Studies and
Languages) ( www.space-eu.info) will be having its AGM and 18th Annual International Conference in Cyprus. Cyprus College is hosting and co-organizing this International Conference, the theme of which is "Learning by Sharing in Higher Education." The Conference will be on Thursday and Friday (22 and 23 March) and all of you are welcome to attend the sessions that are of interest to you. I attach the conference Program for your perusal. To see the full SPACE Conference Program (with links to the paper
abstracts) and List of Participants please go to the following website:
http://users.skynet.be/space.
This is by far the most successful Conference of SPACE as far as the numbers are concerned. There will be over 140 participants among which would be Rectors, Deans, Chairs/Heads of Departments, International Program Coordinators, Erasmus Coordinators and faculty and researchers who will present their research work and share experiences in a wide range of fields related to education and learning, including but not limited to learning practices, new programmes, learning platforms (including eLearning, LLL, etc), learning methodologies in business, intercultural communication and languages, student support practices, student and teacher mobility (including virtual mobility), and more. This is an excellent opportunity for you to network with academics and researchers from over 70 Higher Education Institutions from 30 European counties. A number of our colleagues from Cyprus College will also present papers.
Parallel to the SPACE Conference, EURASHE (The European Association of Institutions in Higher Education) ( http://www.eurashe.eu) will be having its SEPHE Seminar (an EU funded project) dealing with "Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Professional Higher Education."
On Wednesday 21 March, prior to the Conference, a number of thematic standing Committees of SPACE (Eurobusiness, Eurolanuages, Intercultural Communication, Mobility, Online Development, Joint Programs, European Research Area) will have their meetings at Palm Beach in Larnaca from 10:00am until 6:30pm and these are open for new members and non-members.
I strongly urge you to look at the Program and see which thematic clusters, Tracks or individual papers interest you and join us.
